Kumihimo is the Japanese name for the art of cord-making via braiding.
Of course, braiding is no more an exclusively Japanese art than is
paper folding, but it serves as a convenient term to distinguish the
craft from what I do with my hair. 8)
I plan to do some knotting with Kumihimo
braids, but first I have to find the right project!
